Everything you might wonder before, during, and after ordering from Lumamber. If your question isn't here, our team responds to every email within 24 hours.
Shipping & Delivery
How orders move from our Hong Kong fulfilment partner to your door in Poland or the EU.
How long does shipping take to Poland?
Standard shipping to Poland takes 7–10 business days from dispatch. Orders are typically dispatched within 24–48 hours of purchase, so most Polish customers receive their order within 8–12 calendar days of ordering. See our Shipping Policy for full timelines by country.
Where do my orders ship from?
All orders ship from our fulfilment partner in Hong Kong. We work with established cross-border carriers (DHL Express, DPD, InPost Kurier, DHL Parcel Polska) to handle the last-mile delivery to your address in Poland or the EU.
How much does shipping cost?
Free shipping on orders over €99 (roughly 425 PLN). For orders below this threshold, shipping is a flat €4.99 (roughly 21 PLN). Free shipping is the default for most full-size lamps; the flat rate applies mostly to single accessories or low-priced items.
Will I have to pay customs duties or VAT?
No. Lumamber ships DDP (Delivered Duty Paid), which means we pre-pay all import duties and destination-country VAT — including 23% Polish VAT — before your parcel reaches customs. The price you see at checkout is the total you pay. No surprise bills at the door.
How do I track my order?
As soon as your order is dispatched, you'll receive an email with your tracking number and a link to our branded tracking page. You can also track via the link in your account dashboard if you created one at checkout.
Can I change my shipping address after ordering?
If your order hasn't shipped yet, yes — email info@lumamber.com immediately with your order number and the corrected address. Once an order enters the carrier's network, we can no longer modify the destination, but the carrier may offer redirection options via their own app or website.
Products & Bulbs
What you need to know about Lumamber lamps before you press buy — especially around bulbs and voltage.
Do Lumamber lamps come with bulbs included?
No, bulbs are not included unless the product description explicitly says otherwise. We made this choice intentionally — bulb preference is personal (warmth, brightness, dimmable or not), and shipping bulbs internationally adds packaging waste and breakage risk.
What bulbs do you recommend?
We design every Lumamber fixture for 2700K warm white LED bulbs — the colour temperature of vintage incandescent. Look for E27 or E14 fittings (the most common European screw sizes), CRI 90+ for accurate colour rendering, and check the maximum wattage listed on each product page. For most table and floor lamps, a 7–9W LED gives the right brightness without overpowering the fixture.
Will Lumamber lamps work with Polish electrical sockets and voltage?
Yes. All Lumamber plug-in lamps ship with EU Type C/F plugs and are rated for 220–240V / 50Hz — the standard across Poland, the EU, and the UK (with adapter). No transformer needed. CE certified for use across the European Economic Area.
What's the maximum bulb wattage?
Maximum wattage is listed on each product page, typically 40W or 60W equivalent for table lamps and pendants. With modern LED bulbs, a 9W LED produces light equivalent to a 60W incandescent — well within any Lumamber fixture's limit. Exceeding the maximum wattage can damage the socket and is not covered under warranty.
Are Lumamber lamps dimmable?
Dimmability depends on two things: the lamp's wiring and the bulb you choose. Most of our plug-in lamps work with standard dimmable LED bulbs on a compatible wall or in-line dimmer. Hardwired pendants and ceiling fixtures can be wired to a wall dimmer by a qualified electrician. Check the product page or contact us for specifics on a particular model.
Can I connect Lumamber lamps to smart home systems?
Lumamber lamps themselves are not smart-enabled, but you can achieve smart control two ways: (1) use a smart LED bulb (Philips Hue, IKEA Trådfri, etc.) in the socket, or (2) plug the lamp into a smart plug (TP-Link, Tuya, Apple HomeKit). Both work natively with Alexa, Google Home, and HomeKit.
Materials & Care
Real materials age — that's why we use them. Here's how to live with them.
What materials do you use?
Across our catalog, the five most common material families are travertine, brass, hand-blown glass, linen, and wood. Some pieces also feature oxidised steel, leather, or ceramic. Each product page lists the materials in detail. We never use plastic-imitating-stone or composite materials.
Will the brass go dark over time?
Yes — and it's meant to. Unlacquered or lightly-finished brass naturally develops a warm patina over years of use. This is part of why we use real brass: it tells the story of where it's been. If you prefer to slow the patina, polish occasionally with a soft cloth and brass cleaner. If you prefer the patina, simply leave it — it will deepen beautifully.
How do I clean travertine?
Travertine is porous and prefers gentle care. Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. For deeper cleaning, use a damp cloth with plain water or a mild pH-neutral stone cleaner. Avoid acidic cleaners (vinegar, lemon, abrasive sprays) and harsh chemicals — these can etch the surface.
The lamp I received looks slightly different from the photo. Is this normal?
Yes. Travertine veining, brass colour, wood grain, and leather texture all vary naturally between units — this is a feature of real materials, not a defect. Our product photos show representative examples. If the variation is dramatic or you're unhappy with your specific piece, we'll happily exchange it within the 30-day return window. See our Returns Policy for details.
How do I care for linen shades?
Dust linen shades regularly with a soft brush or vacuum on low suction. For stains, gently dab with a damp cloth and mild soap — do not soak or machine wash. Allow to air dry away from direct sunlight, which can fade the fabric over time.
Installation
Most Lumamber lamps plug into a socket and need no installation. A few need an electrician.
Do I need an electrician to install Lumamber lamps?
For plug-in lamps: no. Table lamps, floor lamps, and our cordless rechargeable lamps work straight out of the box — plug in, screw in a bulb, switch on.
For hardwired fixtures: yes. Pendants, ceiling fixtures, and most wall sconces require connection to your mains wiring. We strongly recommend installation by a qualified electrician — both for safety and to keep your warranty valid. Improper hardwired installation voids the commercial warranty.
Are pendants and ceiling fixtures plug-in or hardwired?
All pendants and ceiling fixtures are designed to be hardwired into your ceiling rose. Most wall sconces are also hardwired, though a few are available with plug-in cords for direct-to-socket use. The product page clearly indicates which is which.
What comes in the box?
Each Lumamber piece ships with the fixture itself, all mounting hardware required for installation (for hardwired pieces), and a printed care card. Bulbs are not included unless explicitly noted. Cordless lamps include their charging cable.
How long are the cords on plug-in lamps?
Standard cord length is 180–200 cm (roughly 6–6.5 feet) on table and floor lamps, ending in an EU Type C/F plug. This is enough to reach most household sockets from common placements. Specific cord length is listed in the product specifications.
Are these CE certified for European use?
Yes. All Lumamber electrical fixtures are CE marked, indicating conformity with EU safety, health, and environmental requirements (Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU, EMC Directive 2014/30/EU, RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU).
Payment
How to pay, including BLIK for Polish customers.
Can I pay with BLIK?
Yes. BLIK is fully supported at checkout for Polish customers. Generate a 6-digit code in your Polish banking app, enter it at checkout, and approve the transaction in your app — the whole flow takes about 30 seconds.
What payment methods do you accept?
Visa, Mastercard, BLIK, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. We do not currently accept American Express, PayPal, bank transfers, SEPA Direct Debit, BNPL/installments, or cash on delivery. See our Payment Policy for full details.
Is my payment information secure?
Yes. All payment processing is handled by Shopify Payments, which is certified to PCI-DSS Level 1 — the highest level of payment security certification. We never store your full card number, CVV, or expiry date. EU card payments are protected by 3D Secure 2 and PSD2 Strong Customer Authentication.
Can I get a VAT invoice for my order?
Every order automatically receives an order confirmation email that serves as your invoice. If you need a formal VAT invoice with your business details (NIP for Polish companies), email info@lumamber.com with your order number and company information within 7 days of purchase.
Do you offer trade or wholesale pricing?
We work selectively with interior designers, architects, and design-led retailers on a case-by-case basis. Email info@lumamber.com with the subject “Trade Enquiry” and include your company details, project scope, and intended use. We respond within 5 business days.
Returns & Warranty
If something isn't right — here's how we make it right.
What is your return policy?
You can return any Lumamber piece within 30 days of delivery for a full refund or store credit. Returns must be unused, in original packaging. For EU consumers, a separate 14-day statutory right of withdrawal under Directive 2011/83/EU applies in parallel — you may invoke either or both. Full details in our Returns & Refunds Policy.
What's covered under the 2-year warranty?
Every Lumamber piece is covered for 2 years from delivery against manufacturing defects, component failures, premature LED failure (on integrated fixtures), and defective finishes under normal household use. This runs in parallel with your statutory rękojmia rights under Polish law. Full coverage and exclusions in our Warranty Policy.
What if my lamp arrives damaged in transit?
Contact us within 48 hours of delivery at info@lumamber.com with your order number and photos of (1) the damaged piece and (2) the outer packaging. We'll arrange a free replacement immediately — no need to return the damaged piece first in most cases. All Lumamber shipments are insured by default.
How do I make a warranty claim?
Email info@lumamber.com with the subject “Warranty Claim — [Your Order Number]”. Include your order number, date of delivery, a clear description of the issue, and photos or a short video. We assess within 1–3 business days and provide remedy (repair, replacement, or refund) within 14 business days.
Do you charge restocking fees?
No. Returns within the 30-day window are processed at no cost beyond the return shipping (which is free for damaged or defective items, and customer-paid for change-of-mind returns). EU statutory withdrawal returns follow EU rules — no restocking fee permitted, customer pays return shipping by default.
About Lumamber
A few questions about who we are and how we operate.
Where is Lumamber based?
Lumamber is operated by BULKECOM LIMITED (Company Reg. No. 79121229), incorporated in Hong Kong. The Lumamber brand is owned by our parent entity BULKECOM LLC-FZ in Dubai, UAE. We ship from Hong Kong to customers across Poland, the EU, and select markets. See our About page for the full story.
Are these original Lumamber designs?
Our catalog is a curated mix of pieces we specify, source, and stand behind. Some are exclusive Lumamber designs developed with our manufacturing partners; others are carefully selected from craftspeople and small workshops aligned with our material and warm-light philosophy. Every piece in our catalog is sold under the Lumamber name with our warranty.
Can I buy Lumamber on Amazon or Allegro?
No. We sell exclusively through lumamber.com. We do not list on Amazon, Allegro, eBay, AliExpress, or any third-party marketplace. If you find “Lumamber” products on these platforms, they are not authentic — please report them to us at info@lumamber.com.
Do you have a physical showroom?
Not currently. As a small studio operating direct-to-consumer, we keep our overhead low so we can invest in product quality and customer service rather than retail rent. If you'd like detailed photos or video of a specific piece before ordering, email info@lumamber.com and we'll happily send you additional reference material.
Can I speak to someone before ordering?
Absolutely. Email info@lumamber.com for product advice (which lamp for which room, sizing for a dining table, bulb recommendations) or chat with us via Facebook Messenger. Our team responds to email within 24 hours during support hours; Messenger replies tend to be faster, within minutes during working hours.
