We will, however, cooperate with rights holders investigating infringements that relate to Lumamber's own IP.
Governing Law, Jurisdiction & Dispute Resolution
This Legal Notice, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with it, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, without regard to its conflict of law principles. However, mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence apply in addition.
For consumers resident in the European Union
Mandatory consumer protection rights under EU Directive 2019/771 (Sale of Goods), EU Directive 2011/83/EU (Consumer Rights), and applicable national law cannot be waived by choice-of-law clauses. Polish residents specifically benefit from rights under the Polish Civil Code (rękojmia, Articles 556–5764) and the Polish Consumer Rights Act of 30 May 2014.
Under EU Regulation 1215/2012 (Brussels I Recast), Polish consumers may bring proceedings against Lumamber in the Polish courts of their domicile, in addition to the courts of Hong Kong.
Online Dispute Resolution (ODR)
EU consumers may use the European Commission's ODR platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr to submit disputes arising from online purchases for out-of-court resolution. Polish consumers may also contact the consumer protection authority UOKiK at uokik.gov.pl, or the network of regional consumer ombudsmen (rzecznik konsumentów) in their voivodeship.
We prefer direct resolution
Before initiating any formal dispute resolution, we strongly encourage contacting our customer care team at info@lumamber.com. The overwhelming majority of issues — orders, returns, warranty claims, billing — are resolved within 24 hours of direct contact, without need for any external process.
