2-Year Warranty

Effective 20 August 2025  ·  lumamber.com

✓ 2 years from delivery ✓ Free repair, replace or refund ✓ EU statutory rights respected ✓ Rękojmia & gwarancja parallel
This warranty is provided by BULKECOM LIMITED (Company Reg. No. 79121229), incorporated in Hong Kong, the commercial entity responsible for all Lumamber sales through lumamber.com. It is offered voluntarily and in addition to — not in place of — the statutory rights you hold as a consumer under European Union and Polish law (the rękojmia). You may invoke either path, or both in sequence, to obtain a remedy.

Coverage Overview

Every Lumamber piece is covered by a 2-year commercial warranty from the date your order is delivered. The warranty protects you against manufacturing defects and component failures under normal household use, at no cost to you for the duration of the coverage period.

What this warranty covers

Manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship

Premature failure of electrical components, switches, or sockets

Defective finishes that flake, bubble, or peel under normal use

Cracks or breaks in the fixture body not caused by impact

Integrated LED modules that fail before their rated lifespan

Loose or failing structural joints in the lamp body

What it costs you

Nothing

Warranty claims are processed at no charge. Lumamber covers diagnostic assessment, repair labour, replacement parts, and return shipping for approved claims. Your only obligation is to provide proof of purchase and photo/video documentation of the issue.

When the clock starts

The 2-year warranty period begins on the date of delivery, not the order date. This is documented automatically via your carrier tracking. If you keep your order confirmation email, the delivery date will also be in your Lumamber account.

EU Statutory Warranty & Polish Consumer Rights

This commercial warranty (gwarancja handlowa) does not replace, limit, or override your statutory rights as a consumer under European Union and Polish law. Those statutory rights — known in Poland as rękojmia — exist independently and in parallel to this warranty, and you are free to invoke either or both.

Your statutory rights as an EU consumer

Two-year minimum warranty from delivery — under EU Directive 2019/771 (Sale of Goods Directive), the seller is liable for any lack of conformity that becomes apparent within two years from delivery.

Polish Civil Code Articles 556–5764 — the rękojmia framework applies to all consumer goods sold in Poland, governing remedies for physical and legal defects.

Polish Consumer Rights Act of 30 May 2014 (as amended 1 January 2023) implements EU consumer protection and establishes burden-of-proof presumptions in your favour for defects appearing within the warranty period.

Right to choose your remedy — you may demand repair, replacement, price reduction, or contract withdrawal in the legally-defined order of preference (see Section 05).

Where to file a consumer complaint

If you believe your statutory consumer rights have not been respected, you may file a complaint with the Polish consumer protection authority UOKiK at uokik.gov.pl, or use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. We always encourage contacting info@lumamber.com first — most issues are resolved within 24 hours of direct contact.

What's Not Covered

This warranty applies only to manufacturing defects and component failures arising under normal household use. The following are excluded from coverage:

Damage & misuse exclusions

Accidental damage from drops, impacts, falls, or knocks

Damage from improper installation (including incorrect mounting or hardwiring without a qualified electrician)

Damage from use of bulbs exceeding the maximum wattage specified for the fixture

Damage from connection to non-EU mains voltage (Lumamber fixtures are rated for 220–240V / 50Hz)

Damage caused by unauthorized repairs, modifications, or disassembly

Use of indoor-rated fixtures outdoors or in wet locations (bathrooms, exterior, kitchens above sinks)

Wear, cosmetic & environmental exclusions

Normal wear and tear (cord flex fatigue, finish patina, surface scratches from use)

Natural patina, oxidation, or colour shift on aged metals and finishes — these are by design and are a feature of materials such as raw brass, copper, and oxidised steel

Variations in natural materials (wood grain, stone veining, travertine pattern, leather) between units — these are not defects

Damage from improper cleaning (abrasive cleaners, solvents, prolonged contact with water)

Damage from prolonged exposure to direct sunlight (UV fading of fabric shades)

Damage from extreme humidity, temperature, or environmental conditions outside normal indoor use

Consumables & third-party exclusions

Replacement bulbs (these are consumables, see Section 07)

Damage caused by third-party accessories or dimmers not approved for use with the fixture

Damage caused by power surges, lightning strikes, or grid faults (consider a surge protector)

Indirect or consequential damages (e.g., damage to flooring or furniture from a fallen fixture)

Borderline cases

If you're unsure whether an issue qualifies — for example, a hairline crack you discovered without a memory of impact, or a finish change you can't attribute to misuse — contact us. We assess every case individually. Where there's genuine doubt, we lean toward resolving in your favour.

Making a Warranty Claim

If you believe your Lumamber piece has a covered defect, please follow the steps below. We aim to make the process as straightforward as possible.

Step-by-step claim process

1

Email us at info@lumamber.com

Use the subject line “Warranty Claim – [Your Order Number]” (e.g., “Warranty Claim – #LUM12345”).

2

Include the required information

Your order number, the date of delivery, a clear description of the issue, and photographs or a short video showing the defect. The more documentation, the faster we can assess.

3

We assess your claim within 1–3 business days

Our team reviews your submission, may request additional photos or clarification, and confirms whether the issue falls under warranty coverage. You will receive a written response with our determination.

4

If approved, we arrange the return at no cost

Lumamber provides a prepaid return shipping label to our HK fulfilment partner. Pack the item securely in its original packaging where possible, with all components included.

5

We inspect on receipt within 1–2 business days

On arrival at our fulfilment centre, the item is inspected to confirm the defect and determine the appropriate remedy (see Section 05).

6

Remedy is delivered within 14 business days

Whether the outcome is repair, replacement, or refund, the resolution is completed within 14 business days of our inspection — consistent with our broader 14-day commitment under EU consumer law.

Proof of purchase

Your order confirmation email serves as proof of purchase. If you cannot locate it, we can verify your order using your email address and approximate purchase date — just include both in your claim.

Remedies — Repair, Replace or Refund

EU consumer law specifies a hierarchy of remedies for defective goods. Lumamber follows this hierarchy, and you have the right to choose between repair and replacement as the primary remedy. Refund or proportional price reduction become available where the primary remedies are not possible or fail.

First: Repair

Free of charge

For defects that can be remedied without replacing the entire item — faulty switches, loose joints, defective sockets — we offer repair as the primary remedy. Carried out by our fulfilment partner; return shipping covered both ways.

Second: Replacement

Identical or equivalent

Where repair is not feasible — structural cracks, irreparable component failures, finish defects — we replace the item with an identical unit. If the original model is no longer stocked, an equivalent of at least the same value is offered.

Third: Refund or reduction

Full or proportional

Where neither repair nor replacement is possible (or has failed), you have the right to a proportional price reduction or a full refund. Refunds are processed within 14 business days to your original payment method.

Your right to choose

Under EU Directive 2019/771 and Polish law, you have the right to choose between repair and replacement as the initial remedy, unless the chosen option is impossible or would impose disproportionate costs compared to the alternative. We will always explain our reasoning if we believe one option is materially more appropriate, and you may dispute the assessment.

Warranty Period & Transferability

Duration

2 years

Starting from the date your order is delivered, as documented by your carrier tracking. The Lumamber commercial warranty and your statutory rękojmia rights both run concurrently for 2 years.

Transferability

Original purchaser only

This commercial warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser, evidenced by the lumamber.com order confirmation. Statutory rights under EU and Polish law follow their own legal framework regarding ownership.

Repaired or replaced items

If an item is repaired or replaced under warranty, the remedy does not start a new 2-year period. The warranty continues from the original delivery date. However, the replacement or repaired component itself is covered for at least the remainder of the original term, or 6 months from the date of remedy — whichever is longer.

Bulbs, Lamps & Integrated LEDs

Lighting fixtures involve both the fixture itself and a light source. These are treated differently under warranty:

Standard replaceable bulbs

Lumamber fixtures with replaceable bulb sockets (E27, E14, G9, and similar) are not supplied with bulbs unless explicitly stated in the product description.

Standard bulbs are consumables — they are not covered by this warranty regardless of source. We recommend high-CRI LED bulbs (CRI 90+) in 2700K–3000K warm white for the intended Lumamber light quality. Always check the maximum wattage marked on the fixture.

Integrated LED fixtures

Cordless lamps and other fixtures with integrated, non-replaceable LED modules are fully covered under this 2-year warranty.

If the integrated LED fails prematurely under normal use (before its rated lifespan of typically 25,000–50,000 hours), Lumamber will repair or replace the unit at no charge. Includes the cordless mushroom table lamp and similar fixtures in our catalog.

A note on bulb compatibility

Using a bulb that exceeds the fixture's maximum wattage rating is one of the most common causes of premature lighting failure — and it is excluded from warranty coverage. Each Lumamber fixture lists its maximum wattage in the product description. For LED bulbs, the wattage is far lower than equivalent incandescent (a 9W LED is roughly equivalent to a 60W incandescent), so this is rarely a concern with modern bulbs.

Limitations & Disclaimers

The following limitations apply to this commercial warranty. They do not affect your statutory consumer rights, which cannot be waived or limited by contract under Polish and EU law.

Scope of Lumamber's obligations

Lumamber's sole obligations under this commercial warranty are repair, replacement, price reduction, or refund — in the hierarchy described in Section 05.

Lumamber does not cover indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from a defective product (such as damage to surrounding furniture, flooring, walls, or other property), except where such limitation is prohibited by applicable consumer law.

Replacement units and parts may show minor variation from the original, particularly for fixtures made from natural materials (wood, stone, leather, hand-finished metals). Such variation is inherent to the material and is not a defect.

This commercial warranty is non-transferable. Statutory rights under EU and Polish law are governed by their own legal framework.

Warranty service is provided through Lumamber's designated fulfilment partner. Self-repair, repair by a third party, or attempted repair voids the commercial warranty.

Your statutory rights are not affected

Nothing in this warranty limits, excludes, or modifies your rights as a consumer under EU Directive 2019/771, the Polish Civil Code (Articles 556–5764), or the Polish Consumer Rights Act of 30 May 2014. Where this commercial warranty offers less than the statutory minimum, the statutory minimum prevails.
