EU consumer right of withdrawal

Withdrawal Form

Effective 20 August 2025  ·  lumamber.com

✓ 14-day EU statutory right ✓ No reason required ✓ Full refund within 14 days ✓ Per Directive 2011/83/EU
This form is provided in accordance with EU Directive 2011/83/EU (Annex I, Section B) and the Polish Consumer Rights Act of 30 May 2014. Withdrawal notices should be sent to BULKECOM LIMITED, the seller and data controller for lumamber.com, at the contact details below.

Your Right of Withdrawal

As a consumer resident in the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase contract with Lumamber within 14 calendar days of receiving your order, without giving any reason. This right is granted by EU Directive 2011/83/EU on consumer rights, as implemented in Poland by the Consumer Rights Act of 30 May 2014.

Key facts about the 14-day withdrawal right

The 14-day period begins on the day you (or a person you nominated, other than the carrier) take physical possession of the goods.

If your order contains multiple items shipped separately, the period begins on the day the last item is delivered.

You do not need to give a reason. A simple, clear statement of withdrawal is sufficient.

Use of this model form is recommended for clarity, but is not mandatory. Any unambiguous written statement (email, letter, or this form) is legally valid.

This right is in addition to Lumamber's commercial 30-day return window and the 2-year statutory rękojmia. You may invoke any or all of them as needed.

If you are not an EU consumer

The 14-day statutory withdrawal right is specific to EU consumers (and certain other jurisdictions with equivalent legislation). Customers outside the EU are still covered by our commercial 30-day return policy.

The Model Withdrawal Form

Below is the official model withdrawal form, reproduced from Annex I, Section B of EU Directive 2011/83/EU. You can copy this text, fill in the blanks, and send it to us by email or post. Alternatively, use the electronic form in Section 03 to submit the same information faster.

Submit Your Withdrawal Electronically

The fastest way to submit your withdrawal is to fill out the form below. We receive your notice immediately, confirm receipt within 24 hours, and process your refund within 14 business days of receiving the returned goods.

Electronic withdrawal form

Submit your withdrawal notice

All fields marked * are required to process your withdrawal under EU law.

After you submit

You'll see a confirmation message immediately on screen, and Lumamber will email you within 24 hours with: (1) confirmation of receipt with the timestamp, (2) instructions for returning the goods, and (3) the prepaid return shipping label (if applicable to your case).

Other Ways to Submit Your Withdrawal

EU law allows any clear and unambiguous statement of withdrawal. The electronic form above is the easiest, but two alternative methods are equally valid:

A

Email us a withdrawal statement

Send an email to info@lumamber.com with the subject “Withdrawal Notice – [Your Order Number]”. Include the order number, your name and address, the date of delivery, and a clear statement that you wish to withdraw. A copy of the model form text from Section 02 works perfectly. Most customers use this route.

B

Send by post

Print the model form from Section 02, fill it in by hand, sign it, and send it by post to: BULKECOM LIMITED, Glenealy Tower, No.1 Glenealy, Unit 2A, 17/F, Central, Hong Kong SAR. Note: international postal delivery can take 1–3 weeks; if you choose this method, do so well before your 14-day window expires, and we recommend also emailing us a copy.

All three methods carry equal legal weight

Under EU Directive 2011/83/EU Article 11, the burden of proof for exercising the withdrawal right falls on the consumer, so we recommend keeping a record of whichever method you choose (screenshot of the submission confirmation, sent email, or proof of posting).

What Happens After Your Withdrawal

Once we receive your withdrawal notice, the process moves quickly. Here's exactly what to expect.

1

Confirmation within 24 hours

We email you confirming receipt of your withdrawal notice, with the timestamp recorded for legal purposes. Your 14-day refund obligation under EU law starts from this date.

2

Return the goods within 14 days

EU law requires you to return the goods within 14 days of giving us your withdrawal notice. We'll send return shipping instructions, and Lumamber covers the return shipping cost for withdrawal cases (over €99 orders; see Returns Policy for thresholds).

3

Refund within 14 days

Once we receive the goods (or proof of return shipment, whichever comes first), we issue a full refund to your original payment method within 14 days. This is the legal maximum under EU Directive 2011/83/EU Article 13.

Goods condition matters

You are entitled to inspect the goods as you would in a physical shop. However, you may be liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics, and functioning. In practice, this means: unpack carefully, plug in to verify the lamp works, but don't install in the ceiling or modify the fixture.

Conditions & Exclusions

The 14-day withdrawal right applies broadly, but EU Directive 2011/83/EU Article 16 specifies a limited set of exceptions. Here is how those exceptions apply to Lumamber's catalog:

What is covered (almost everything Lumamber sells)

All standard Lumamber lamps and fixtures in our catalog

Pendants, ceiling fixtures, table lamps, floor lamps, wall sconces

Cordless rechargeable lamps with integrated LEDs

All accessories and individual components sold on lumamber.com

What is excluded (per EU Article 16)

Goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised (e.g., custom-engraved pieces, if ever offered)

Goods that have been installed permanently (hardwired into ceiling/wall) and cannot be removed without damage

Gift cards once redeemed (digital content delivered)

Sealed goods unsuited for return on hygiene or health grounds, once unsealed

A note on hardwired installation

If your purchase has been permanently installed into your ceiling or wall by an electrician (typical for pendants and ceiling fixtures), withdrawal may be limited because the fixture cannot be returned to its original condition without damage. We strongly recommend waiting until you are confident before installing. The 14-day window gives you ample time to test placement, verify the size, and live with the piece before committing.
